There is a bay were I fish that's the weed edge is got three point that is on deeper water. Plastic's with a boot tail and you never know what your going to get walleye ,pike, musky. A small solid wire leader.
May your days be filled with sun shine and you always have a tight line. AMEN

How big do you consider bigger? I like to use the stand up spin jig mold in 3/8 or 1/2 ounce. A number 3 spinner and a boot tail minnow. I use a drop, lift swim motion. Like Wacker said use a wire leader or you'll have a bunch of bite-offs.

I use up to 5 inch soft jerk baits on a jig head for late summer and fall walleye with good success.   Most people think that's too big but the fish tell me otherwise.
