Injector length

How long is the CC injector? Was there ever different lengths?

My one I bought new from Jason, the tube only length is about 6.5"

the used one I just got I was told was a bears. It is identical to the CC one but the tube is about 8" long. So it this on a CC also, but longer? the nozzles are identical too and interchange.

Might be a larger injector.

CCM only sells one size (4oz) that I know of.

Edit: Just looked on Bears site and he make a 5 oz that looks identical to the CCM one. I didnt think they were that similar.

CCM sells the medium Injector and Bears sells a small, medium and a large.

I believe they both get the parts from the same supplier. Niether one makes them it is an outside source. I guess you can order what you want. Frank

Frank is correct, we have our injectors made for us (no lathe at CCM). They have always been 4OZ.

I have been shooting some 5" sticks in a Bears mold lately and If I dont get a perfect full fill on the CCM injector, it just barely runs dry and I get voids at the head. I was going to ask Jason if he could make me a slightly longer tube, but this bears one seems to be perfect.

Jason, did you ever consider a 6 oz as an option.

I love your injector. It is like the BT one is a Cadilac and yours is a sports car. Handles well and fast.

We are looking at having a bigger one made.  I would like for it to be 8.5 - 9oz so it could easily take a full cup.  We just need to figure out the diameter of the tube, thickness, etc (I don't want it to be real long or real fat - looking for that balance).  Hopefully it won't be far out.  Just need to nail down the specs.  If anyone wants to chime in with their input I would be very interested in different perspectives.
