Has anyone used a fry daddy to heat plastisol?

I have tried that (as well as a pot on a hot plate), and keep with the microwave for my needs.  The only way I would recommend using a Fry Daddy is if you are doing BIG volumes of plastic (as in hundreds of the same color for selling purposes); it has to be largely full, otherwise it is more hassle than it's worth (IMO) dealing with the uneven heating, constant stirring for little batches, and slow re-melt times.

Thank you. I was afraid of that. I make custom jigs and I just started making my own trailers.

Go buy a cheap (low wattage) microwave at WalMart. They work great for small to medium batches and being low wattage they don't over power the heating process which leads to "burning" of the plastic.

Heat for 2 minutes, stir with a digital thermometer and heat 30-40 secs at a time (stir!) until you get all the plastic to 350.
