Modified Chub jig

Thought I would share my latest project that i have been working on when not in the tree stand lately. I mostly did this to ice fish these. I modified my chub jig mold a little bit and then poured a #10 eagle claw lil nasty in it. 2nd pic is in the dark and bottom pic is my favorite way to fish it with a plastic I make. Works great for crappies gills and perch under the ice.

Nice stuff Mike. I've had that chub head for years and can't quite seem to not make a bunch each year. Guys up in the Two Harbors area of Minnesota love that head and I manage to keep them supplied.
I love those "lil nasty" hooks in the black chrome or black nickel, whatever its referred to as.
Is that the larger Jacobs ice stinger?

Thanks for the kind words. Tom I use the bigger sizes of this jig for fluke type baits walleye fishing, but didn't really use the 1/32 and 1/16 sizes a lot so I made those two cavities into ice jig size. And that is the 1" Jacob's ice stinger with the eyes and an extra dip it gives it a little fatter body.

Really nice work, Mike. I like yours too Fatman. Hey Mike, is that a glow paint or do you use the additive? Looks cool in the dark and wondering how it might be for nightfishing Largemouth in the summer here in our southern lakes.

AP the base is glow powder I got from netcraft. The orange is glow vinyl and the green is vinyl non glow. Then dip it in the seal coat so the vinyl won't eat the plastic. I mixed some red glow pigment in a bit of this powder and it glows orange. Kinda fun to mess around with!

Other way around big guy. lol
These glow pigments are a serious riot. I've been dug in on glow pigments and fishing for about ten years now and the things people can come up with are amazing. I like the green slashes over the glow to create the ribbing when the lights are out.
