I'd go find the right color mylar tubing  in  the fly tying section at Barlow's and cut it into small pieces.

Here is a glitter with a similar color, (3rd one top row) http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/soft-plastic-lure-molds/385101.aspx#ItemImage
I have seen it larger like in the baits you show but I can't remember who sells it. Someone on here has posted baits with a similar looking stuff, Mike J maybe?

I'd go with Andy on this. It appears to be random chopped holographic mylar. I'd hit a craft store and look in the tinsel section or the glitter section. Maybe find a balloon shop and see if they have one that looks like it would work and just buy it uninflated.

No idea how it might work but you could try running the mylar thru a paper shredder to random chop it.

Here's a bait a made that is close with some violet IR glitter from Jones tones. They are out if business but I think hobby lobby has something similar.http://custombaits.com/gallery/1298-041216114815.jpeg.

The other bait I don't have a good pic to show you but I get glitter at hobby lobby called disco that has the more redish orange halo look to it.

This glitter is extremely heat sensitive. You need to put it in the plastic after it cools to around 320 and if you reheat it it discolors more to the red/orange and green

Here's one more I found that is just clear plastic pearl powder and IR violet glitter

And the bottom of this bait is disco glitter

The disco holds up better to heating than the violet IR does.

I remember seeing some different/odd glitters like that at Joann's, in the scrapbooking section. I thought about trying some out but didn't do it at the time.
