Laminate color development trick.....
« on: 01/04/12 07:56 UTC »
Here is a simple, low tech tip that will work for everyone when looking at developing new laminate colors...

Since we all have leftover sprues/scraps, lay your sprues/scrapes next to other colors to see how they will look. I go through mine all the time and just set colors next to each other for a day or 2 to see if it strikes me. 50% of the time I don't like it, 50% I try the colors in a laminate.

It will also give you an idea if maybe a darker/lighter shade of those colors will vibe together.

I wish the fish would cooperate with this way of thinking!!!!  :D  :D  :D

In all honesty, I happened by accident for me a couple years back. I threw some scraps into a bucket and one color landed near another.

It was a lightbulb moment for me! Who is to say what the next big color will be.

Never would have thought Bama Bug would be so good!

How do you decide what color of glitter to use? All your baits are top notch!!

Thanks Gary. Just intuition and guesswork.

Just dumb luck lots of time too.
