I'm another that takes old tubes, and use heat to seal the bottom.  Take a hole punch and knock holes in the tube, then take heavy line and tie a strong knot on a treble hook then use a large eye needle to run the line up through the tube and then tie a loop for an eye.  Push it down in your dip bait and go after them.

I also use small crappie tubes the same way for bull-heads in my local Fish and Wildlife pond except I use a single hook.  Some of the older gents actually called the sheriff and FW when my nephew and I were catching more than they were!!LOL  But I was surprised the bull head liked the Sonnys Super sticky!!!

Sonny's Super Sticky is the #1 bait around these parts.

I agree. Hey Do-It, can you tell us the diameter of the Zipper Tube body? And the length from the head to the beginning of the skirt? Thanks!

I used to have the zipper tube, and that thing is a beast with ribs deeper than the Flippin' Zip!  Because the ribs were so thick, it was hard to find a bass hook with a wide enough gap (which is why I used it for muskies); however, if you were to use it for cats, the good news is that it should hide a pretty big treble without much problem.

Length is 4.5" (and if memory serves correct it has a 1.25" diameter).

That is a thick bait. I think a #2 treble hook has a spread of close to 1", I'll look to be sure. It may work pretty good. Thanks efishnc!

For sure a #2, but I'm betting you could almost stash a 1/0 in it.  My biggest concern would be that the stink bait could slip off the ribs because of the smoothly machined surfaces... might be prudent to have HQ send you some samples before investing in the mold.
