Carole and I just got home from the cabin and I had some time to chuck these guys at Lake Trout. I was casting into about 80 feet of water and letting the lure sink on a loose line....bail open. The retrieve was simply a steady retrieve of line, not fast, not slow. Using 6 pound mono I could feel the blade working as soon as I started reeling. While I can confess to any big trout the three pounders wailed all over this blade in the deep water. I don't think I hooked one in water shallower than 75 feet and the hits I got absolutely stopped everything. Great fun on a new bait. I c/r'd three of the trout. Now I can't wait for the fall excursion, when the big girls are hanging around.
