Do-its keel buzzbait mold

  I really like the keel buzzbait head that DO-It makes. But alot of people who own it, talks about how hard it is to get complete pours on the mold.
 I would like to buy this mold, but if it is as much of a head ache as it seems to be, I don't think I would have the patience. I own at least 50 of the do-it molds, in lead pouring, and plastic, and none of them are very hard to use.
 Does anyone have a way of pouring these, without getting incomplete fills, on every other pour? If soo I would like to know, how, as I really would like to own this mold.
I asked this question on another forum, and others had a hard time also with this mold.
 If you have the answer would you please reply, with you procedure?

I have the Buzz-Keel and love it!!!  I can't remember any trouble with incomplete pours, so I'm not sure what I do different than everyone else that is having trouble.  Basically I set all my molds on my hot pot to preheat them... (one gets set on as the pot is heating and each successive mold is set on as I'm working with the one that just finished pre-heating)... and they are generally too hot to touch with bare hands when I pour.  I can't remember if I also turn up the heat on my lead pot for the BK as I do for a some other molds that give me trouble (like the Ultra Minnow spinner), but everything I cast is done with a bottom spout furnace... and I almost always keep it above half full which creates more pressure (due to its column height), translating into faster lead flow when pouring.

 warm your mold up real good and use a ladle and hand pour it i haven't had any trouble since doing it this way

  People that get in complete pours are using hard lead. Get good soft lead and your problems will be solved.

  Thanks for the replies, I had heard how hard it was to get complete pours, that I was gun shy, about purchasing the mold. I always heat up my mold, and hooks, and wires, before I pour any lead.
 I think I'll go ahead and buy the mold, and give it a try. Thanks again for the information.

If I bought a Buzzbait mold, the Keel would be it.  As Lamar said, use soft, pure lead.  2, flux it a time or two.  3, Get the mold good 'n warm, pour all the cavities until every pour is complete, then start pouring with the Wire Forms in the cavities.

A, B, C!  Easy as 1, 2, 3!
