Figure I would give my Erie jig/flasher mod a step by step tutorial.
Starting with do-it Erie jig mold 3020 I used a metal chisel to strike a 1/2” to 3/4” “valley” for the insert.
I will add its only necessary to strike one side of the mold as this wire is thin enough to seat like that. If not
you may need to strike your valley a little deeper.
Using do-it’s wlb-24S wire form cut instert to 3/4”. Using needle nose pliers bend close to a 90 deg at one end. Depending on which size you intend to pour will determine how far down to bend this 90.
Place inserts and pour.
After painting using needle nose again bend wire shaft around nose of pliers( using fine point hobby pliers works great here) downward to form a loop, leaving small opening for swivel. I finish off using a #14 roller swivel, #1 split ring, and a #1 or #2 willow blade.
