Thank Yawl for this info!!!  I tried an Electric Skillet and it doesn't seem to get hot enough...it ALWAYS skins-over on the top, bad.  The very bottom of the Pyrex stays hot "enough", after heating in the microwave...this may just be The Better Way.

And Awesome on'na 7" Ribbontail!

Spend the extra and get the stirring apparatus or make one with a drill press. I tried without the stirrer and no matter how hard I tried, I still ended up with my final baits having more glitter than the first ones.

With the stirrer, you just don't have to think about it. Just have to think about turning off the stirrer when you start to suck up plastic!!! LOL!!! First few times I got the injector knocked right out of my hands. HUGE MESS!!!!!!!  ;D  ;D  ;D

Matt-possible translation: You kept the pot at 325 when dipping eyes, and after you let the plastic in the pot cool and took it out it was burned?
Is this what you were trying to say?
