Wrong license

Here's a new one. The FLW is fishing lake St. Claire, which is half in Canada and half in the US> One of the anglers got checked on the Canaidan side. Josh Douglas. He had the wrong license! He must of had a sportsman license that allows you to have two bass, not the five that a regular license allowes. Game warden gave him a ticket and made him release three of his fish! Hasn't been decided if he will be disqualified from the tournament yet! He headed back over to the US side to try to catch three more fish. Must be the hot day.

That sucks. But they should have been told off the license’s before hand in there per tournament meeting.

Yep, I can't believe how some people fail to check everything out. Ever year I always reread all the regulations to any place I'm going to fish or hunt. Especially Wisconsin and Minnesota where a lot of lakes have special regulations.

  I think he wasn't paying attention. Any tournament I've ever fished that was out of state or boarder another state they have passed out papers on the regulations in that area. Most have DNR staff there telling us where the off limits are and what you can or can't do.

That lake is really showing out. One of my best buddy's is in that event. He had over 34lbs  for 2 days and ended up in 93rd place. That's over 3.4lb average    He told me about that ticket along with the boat that was stolen. I wish I had smallies close to me.

I wish I had smallies close to me.

 They are a love / hate fish. They never stop moving. I tip my hat to guys that can find them day after day. They can make your day or frustrate you to death. But if you can find them and get them turned on it's a good time.

Smallies are a blast I was out yesterday and a buddy got a 4.5 and a couple got rainbows.
