....to the fall crappie bite.

Here's what I use as a rule. Depending on the mood of the fish I can go larger or smaller easily and change out colors just as quick. These range in length from 1 1/2" to 2 1/2".

What's on your line for fall crappies?

My usual standbys are at the ready.  They include the 2.25 small fry, the 2 inch swing impact fat (baitmold), the 2.5 inch swim fry a 2 inch shad bodied curly tail and my most recent mold is the 2.5 inch Mo Magic.  I haven't fished the mo magic at all yet so I am eager to give it a go.  A couple more weeks and things should start to get interesting and I am ready.

Beautiful baits as always ctom.  That Purple one is that put together with Florida Grape? And what are the tails? Love that bright coloring.   I really really love the swim fry 2.5 baits but to be honest im not sure what color to go with in fall here in ohio.

The purple is X2 purple and X2 Florida Grape blend. I think that was done in 4 ounces of Essential using 6 drops of purple and two drops of the Florida Grape.

The chartreuse is a dandy. I make this in 4 ounce batches for tails using the Essential plastic, ten drops of X2 Chartreuse and two drops of X2 Fluorescent green and one drop of X2 Bright Green, plus some blue hi lite. Pictures don't do the color justice at all, but the blue hi lite in this chartreuse makes the color turn a corner than can't be gotten with straight colorant.
