Need your opinions before I go and by another Lee 20 pound my last one lasted over 25 years so maybe I answered the question already.

I think you can send the Lee in and they'll re-manufacture it fairly cheap. Check their website. I use the 20 lp hot pots and love'm with a ladle down to 1/80 heads in the semi-custom molds.

Thanks Tom I think all I need is the rod that stops the flow so it don’t drip.

You can contact the company by email found on their site. I'd check the fix out but also buy a new one so you're not without. The re-do would make a super back-up for you. I've had a 20 pound since they came out with it, but its not a pour model....I ladle.  I had to get another when an element started to get weak and sent that bad one in and within two weeks had another new one for about $25.00. Great company to work with.

I cannot speak on the Lyman though while researching bullet maker forum posts, everything pointed to the RCBS.  I have had the RCBS for a year + now and it proves itself each time I use it.  I still use my Lee pots to pre-clean lead and pour SBs.

Lee will fix you up if that is the route you choose.

I have been using a RCBS for 16 years. It is starting to show wear and I am considering the new unit.

Haven’t been able to find the old style midway only shows RCBS 2 and that one looks really cheap and hit and miss on reviews.
