weedguard questions.

i would like to use wire weedguards on my jigs or cable weedguards.im new to making my own jigs and im curious to know what size leader wire works best for you guys and what size cable also.i would like to install my weedguard after i pour the head,so what can i use to glue the weedguard in place that will stay.any help will be greatly appreciated.

Surflon 7 strand leader wire in 60# to 90# will work for most applications. You could also use .024 single strand wire but wire has to be cast in, you aren't going to glue it in place.

Here are two different jigs with weedguards. Most of the jigs I use with weedguards I use what the mold calls for unless it a mold that’s modified.

You might be able to glue wire or cable in, but it will have to have a hook on it (or it will pull right out as SJ mentioned), and the hook has to be inside the hole for your weedguard, so you will need to use a mold with adequate depth for this.  As far as your best glue for this, I would recommend 2-part epoxy.
