I think whatever head style you want/like, The blade needs to be able to fold back/down flat on the head exposing the hook as much as possible. Some heads like the poisontail get close, But I don't like how the eyelet in buried in the lead, You cant add the blade after paint properly. The Trokar Pro Swim jig is boss! Comes through the weeds great, Stands up the bottom if you like, Has eyes if you want to use the sockets etc.

can I ask you what hook you use and how to open the eye?

I use side cutters... (pinching through the gap that is already there)... very fast and easy.

I have tried that, But seem to damage the finished paint. How I do it, the paint never gets touched.

I'd like to see what you do different to keep from damaging the finish.

I use "flush cut" wire cutters, they work better for opening the eyes already cast.

I open the hook eye before going in the mold, then I cast, then pinch the blade on... (I seldom paint my chatter heads).

  No way I'd use that one... The blade acts as a weed guard/fish guard... Deflecting the fish up and over the hook... 

I'd take a mold of these if they poured a head on a wire similar to the Poison Swingtail so I can use a soft plastic to make it weedless.
