If you decide three research which tendon or hamstring if its yours.  The healing process is different for the patella tendon and the hamstring.  I prefer the hamstring rather than the inner part of the patella tendon, just me.  Read and see what you would prefer to go through.  I know young kids like the Ham more than the Patella in rehab. Seen several of these options and the 1st and 2nd make it rough as you get older.

Thanks for that info. If mine it would be the one on top of my leg/knee. He said he likes to use this one because it’s a wide, thick tendon. They cut a strip from the center and sew the left and right sides back together. Hope that makes sense. I’m really considering asking to have a cadaver tendon just to avoid any further cutting.

Update. Had my acl and meniscus surgery today. Everything went well. Now the fun begins. I am feeling very restless though. Not sure what that’s about. Anyway I’m still around and hope to post some new bait pictures by the end of the week.

Thanks guys. Going to make the best of it. Got a good story for ya if you think you’re having a bad day.

Sunday I was in high gear to get final preparations around the house completed prior to surgery. Top of the list defrost one of earliest prototypes of deep freezers ever designed. Got it emptied out into coolers pulled it out to the back porch and away I went with the hairdryer. Shortly after I’m informed by my wife the washing machine quit working. Yep, it took a crap. motor seized up and it full of clothes and water. So, siphoned the water out of it and back to the freezer. Now I’m rushing around in a frenzy to get done. I asked that she boil some water so I can get the freezer done and deal with the washer. You see where this is going?  That’s right, I tossed some water into the top shelf and it sloshed back out onto my arm leaving me with beautiful Art Deco patch work 1st and 2nd degrees burns. Blisters were almost instantaneous. I’ll exclude the salty language that was exchanged between the freezer, the pot and myself.
Upon returning from Lowe’s with a new washer and yes a new frost free freezer I got both put it in.  Thank goodness my wife and kids were there to assist. Somewhere after the burns and installation of the new appliances I managed to torque my back.  So how’s your week going?

What's that old saying about bad luck coming in threes? Or when it rains, it pours? Sorry to hear of the issues. At least you got those tended to BEFORE you had the surgery. Now you can focus on getting healed and PT so you can get back to what you love to do.
