That had to take an awful while. Can see some cichlids made from this process

Yeah, its a bit tedious... but it's a just a matter of coring the bait like you would for a line-thru swimbait.

Here was my first attempt... (crude but it got things started).

This was my second attempt... the ribs are distracting to the inner pattern and also the body seems a bit too thick for good light transmission.

Changing core color to see if it makes any difference

Back to the shad body and a herring-bone pattern... (now I can smell the victory)

Did you cut sections after getting the core middle on the Ripper.
May your days be filled with sun shine and you always have a tight line. AMEN

Did you cut sections after getting the core middle on the Ripper.

I think I understand what you are asking... (did I cut and splice the ripper)... and the answer is no.  I first inject with my base core method and remove the rod as normal, then I make more holes connecting to the main core (with a former marinade injector), and then shoot the second color.

(If this does not answer the question you had, please ask again in a different way.)

Nice work.

I've certainly got more ideas than time or resources, but I do what I can... thanks for making such fun play toys ;)

Thanks... the large shad bodies definitely lend themselves as a top mold for extravagant secondary injections... (note the sexy core and shazam injections if you haven't already).
