Hot summer nights are for tying hair jigs.

Fun stuff that heat index. I had 122 degrees here on Friday afternoon at 5. This morning before the storm hit we had 88 degrees. Right after the wind wall hit the temp dropped 31 degrees in 2 minutes....shell shock sorta.

Some goofy weather yesterday, no doubt, Tom.

That's a black 2.95" Trout Worm I poured and cut down to size. Makes for a killer little panfish jig mid to late summer when teamed up with a darter and some craft fur or bou.

Absolutely!  And they wanted the craft fur today too!

Had my little buddy C.W. in the boat with me today and the young man put a personal best crappie (14"), bluegill (10.25") and perch (12") in the net all on the hairjig. We'd been wanting to get together for a day on the water for a long time and couldn't have asked for a better day. The 10.25" bluegill was an absolute tank, built like a discus.  Hope everyone had a great weekend.
