Does anyone know of a good host service to start a website? I've looked into Weebly, Go-Daddy and Bluehost, but really don't know what is solid and easy to work with. I'm not computer savvy, so if there is a website that someone can share that is easy for those of us who are computer challenged, I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
Shawn

You can buy templates but you still need to be able to manipulate the site.

You should check with Brian (bhorlings) here on this site. He is an absolute pro and has done work for a few guys.

Since he pours, he knows how to set things up right.

I've recently been looking really hard at host gator. I plan on moving my hosting there at some point in the near future.

I buy my domains on Go-Daddy but can't honestly recommend them from a hosting standpoint.

If you are going to run a WordPress site do not go with Go-Daddy. There just seems to be something about it that runs very slow. I'm not sure what though but multiple people I have talked to about it have an issue with it.

Also, if you need any help let me know. I'm an IT Manager by day and bait pourer / web site designer by night.

This site (the forum) is run on BlueHost.  I've been with them for 4 years.  The shop is on 3D Cart and I like their functionality but the store gets a little slow at times.  Overall I'm happy with both.

My .02 on the technology stuff, BlueHost and I'm sure many others offer a ton of stuff you can easily do.  This forum is pretty much out of the box.  I applied a template that changed the colors to match our site but that was pretty much it.  Total initial time invested less than a day.

If you want to sell stuff I would honestly go with a company like 3D Cart where that's all they do.  I messed with 4-5 different open source carts and found that for an extra $10 a month I could leave most of the guts to someone else.  That's frees up a lot of my time to focus on what I want to do (design baits), vs. learning PHP.

Just my .02.

I've heard great things about Bluehost also from others. It's always seemed to be fast to me.

I can't speak to 3D Cart as I've built my own on my site and for others.
