With knee surgery behind me I’ve had a bit of down time with recovery. Besides buying more lead molds and tackle crafting items, I’ve passed the time by designing and 3D printing some modifications for my fluid bed in preparation for painting some lead heads. I started by adding risers that can be removed and expand the opening to 3”. From what I see just during an initial testing it worked ok controlling volcanoes but further design changes may be needed.
From there I decided I needed some lids for them. Then, why not put some advertisement on there for CS Coatings. This also provided me an opportunity to play with the airbrush on the black lid. Yeah, I need more airbrush time I know. Although the lighting doesn’t show it the color shift paint and champagne glitter looked halfway decent. The other lid I printed with a recess in it then printed the letters, jig head and hook and glued them in like a puzzle.
I then attached my air pump to the bottom of my stand. I needed a way to hold the cheep plastic control valve so I printed that bracket too while adding some Do-It Corp. bling to it. Then I just painted the raised outlines with some model paint.
On to organizing. Picked up some clear plastic containers with latches from the dollar store for my hooks and plastic baits. I decided that some of them needed dividers. So I took some measurements and printed some dividers and glued them in.
Got some more ideas brewing.
