Swirls?

Has anybody attempted making swirls by rotating the dual injection system while shooting?  Thanks

I remember a post about pumping the injectors one then the other (a pulse I suppose) but so far I can't find the post. I'll keep looking.

I found them by searching for: pulse injector

Walleye Whacker i had saw the c block. I just had the thought that possibly while injecting like doing a standard laminate that a person could turn the twinjector blending block & all & possibly get a swirl patterned lure?  Thanks guys

The link I posted is for the BT TWIN INJECTOR. So if you go that way you get the right c block. Most of the trick pours are for yourself And most of them are to time consuming to sell.

Les,

It sounds like you might be looking for a candy stripe look, which I certainly think could be done as you envision via rotating a dual injector, but it (supposing that is the look you want) can also be done via alternative E-core injections... although I only demonstrated this with tube baits, I have no doubt this could be done with almost any mold out there.

Thanks guys you all have given me some great things to try. I like the swirl patterns & also the pattern from spinning the twinjector & i'll be attempting both. .

Walleye Wacker, thanks &  i'm not interested in selling them. I've had 3 stores try to buy my baits, but won't  turn a hobby that i enjoy into a job. That & the fact that with the ecxeption of this winter that i usually work 60 hours most weeks so i'm to tired to fool with it other then myself.

I wanted to swirl a black and blue Senko. I never could get the blue to really show up because the black just took over.  Chris from You-tube The Worlds Worst Fishing did a swirl video with his dual injector removing the bar. He called it milking the cow.

Dave, i’d think the colors would have to contrast pretty good for what i’m wanting. Anyway my twin injector just showed up  & i’m gonna give it a try in a little bit.

Be sure to show em off when you make em.

Well i was trying a couple different things at the same time today after recieving the twinjector.  Not being use to this piece of equiptment i shot the first round out the bottom of the clamped mold because i accidently pushed to hard when trying to inject it. I also was trying some sample packs of mica powder i picked up at walmart yesterday since i had never used any.  As far as color match goes i got really close to the red in berkley power worms red shad by using the mica powder. I never tried swirling again though, but will.

I do a black and blue craw that I pour a little black from the cup into the spout and then shoot the blue from the injector. You need to do it fast and use very little black. It works pretty well and gives it a swirl look.

Thanks I may try that but don't know how that would work with a multiple cavity mild.

It will work. You could also with a duel injector  do what they call milking the cow where you remove the bar between the push rods and do short pauses. I've done that and it works well also.
