I use a hot knife also. I pour a dozen of black and a dozen of blue senkos . Cut the tail off all of the and weld the opposite color on all.  I use a  little " bump board"  with a mark to keep them all the same size. Once you get the hang of sliding them together it works great! I put the hot knife in my vise so I can weld them with two hands.  There is a video of this out there somewhere. It's on a post a few years ago.

Flash point is 111 degrees. Very, very flamible. Since its much like acetone and vaporizes extremely easily using it would have to be done very carefully.

well its not so bad:
The flash point of a volatile material is the lowest temperature at which its vapours ignite if given an ignition source.
Cyclohexanone         44 °C
Acetone                   -20 °C
 mineral spirits         (T1) 21–30 °C
Ethanol (70%)    16.6 °C
Gasoline (petrol)    -43 °C

but still : no open flames or smokning.

edit: .Cyclohexanone  smell like new rubber.....only 500 time stronger its so bad I put 1 drop in a cup in my workshop...took 3 day to get the smell out.
