What up guys!

So I have been searching for a good (temp controlled) small melting pot.  Something that's a 1qt and preferably smaller. Want to stop using the microwave.

Has anyone had any luck or know where I could get a small (temp controlled) melting pot?
There's got to be something out there. I have searched everywhere lol  :'(

Welcome to the Do-It forums Johnny.

I've used a microwave since day one so I'm not help here but there are some here who have temp controlled pots and they'll chime in.

Again, welcome.

Johnny, I have a small fondue pot that I picked up second hand. It is smaller than my prestos and has a thermostat. Just a quick electric fondue pot search turned up this 2 quart

https://www.amazon.com/NutriChef-Countertop-Electric-Melting-Chocolate/dp/B01JIBOG60/ref=zg_bs_17384862011_4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=M50NEZ1QN7R3BSN1GMVW

I haven’t used mine to put plastic in but I do use it to set my Pyrex cup of plastic in after I heat in micro to get multiple shots before reheating in my microwave. Also keeps my injector hot.

Yeah, I looked at those too! ;D
I was just curious if they would heat the plastic hot enough to 350 degrees. I do like your idea on putting the Pyrex cup in it, to keep it hot for multiple shots.

On yours, do you know or think the temperature would get up to 350?

LOL. Burn the heck out of plastic that drops in the bottom of it. That has to be 400+. My presumption is my little unit was a fondue pot because it had some metal skewers that were in it. It may be some kind of little fryer though.

Let us know what you buy and if it worked...

I like the temp controls these have. Seems like you could dial it in just right.

This is what I ended up buying.
Rite Hete:

I have the pint model that I purchased on Ebay for $75.00
I ordered the quart model with the upgraded thermostat direct from Rite Hete for $479.00 plus shipping.
Really pricey units, but will never scorch the plastisol and the color stays consistent throughout the entire session no matter
how long you use it. You can even leave the unused portion in the pot to cool and reheat it again days later without any trouble.
I struggled with the initial cost, but if I had to do it over, I would have done it sooner. I love them.

For $20-$40... I'd try these I posted... I don't think the pot knows what it's heating as long as the temps can be adjusted to our needs.
