Learning by doing
« on: 02/11/21 13:04 UTC »
Well yesterday my airbrush and paints came in so I set everything up and set to work.  My first victim was the 3.75  inch essential swim bait.  I love the action of this bait but hate the horizontal layout of the mold.  I immediately learned my first valuable lesson.  Always let your paints thaw out before you try to paint.  Whoops.  Back at it this morning and it went much smoother.  Painted a yellow perch pattern and it came out quite okay (I almost said nice) considering it was my first attempt.  This is going to be just as addicting as injecting.  Maybe more so.  I have already gotten several crank bait blanks in my cart.  The rest has yet to come
I find it incredible that I have to explain to a grown American citizen that taking a knee during the National Anthem is disrespectful.

My timing for a new hobby was pretty good.  Next month I have to make my mandatory yearly IRA withdrawal so my cup runneth over (for a month or so anyway).
