Crazy weather...
« on: 11/17/21 07:55 UTC »
At 6 this morning it was 44 degrees, 8 degrees warmer than yesterday's high. Yesterday was supposed to be 50 degrees but we came nowhere near that. The wind has blown at 20 to 25 mph sustained now for three days with the forecast calling for winds of up to 35 mph SUSTAINED for tomorrow and Friday. I can't recall ever seeing winds like this every day. We fished very early Monday morning with a stiff blow going and finally had to toss in the towel when the wind shifted and casting was impossible.

Cold I can deal with but this stiff wind bs is almost intolerable for me. The ice in the guides Monday was only a minor inconvenience, the wind  just spoiled the morning.

I hear ya.  Nothing is worse than making a cast waiting for your jig to sink.  Then watch it being blown across the surface because the wind caught your line.  Tis a sad day when lead don't sink.
I find it incredible that I have to explain to a grown American citizen that taking a knee during the National Anthem is disrespectful.

Just glad I'm not sitting in a tree stand hunting deer! Bet the kill will be down this year.
