Katana craw problems
« on: 06/11/23 20:01 UTC »
Hi everyone. New to this forum. I have been pouring do it baits for a couple years now. I am having trouble getting the last part of my Katana  craw to fill. The long tentacle at  the very bottom. I have tried just about everything but i cant get them to fill in more than a 1/4 inch at the most. Any help would be appreciated. Than you

Welcome to the site Ddrake!

Couple ideas here. Try injecting slightly hotter and have the mold quite warm too.

You may try using a fine artist's paintbrush to oil the runs in the cavity that make those tentacles. Just use enough oil on the brush to shine up the cavity.

If you're double clamping, try to not bear down on the clamp at that end of the mold.

Yep I'll second...
- don't clamp down to tight
- fills better with warm mold
- fills better running the plastic a little bit hotter (at least until the mold heats up)
