OG grub vs Essential Series Grub?
« on: 02/10/24 11:44 UTC »
For those that have both, how do they compare?  I have the 3" Essential Series grub (its great), but have been looking at adding the OG grub.  Wondering if the 3" OG grub is roughly the same size as the ES version.

They're quite similar. Differences would be a moot issue. The Essential bait will have a matte finish as opposed to glossy from the cnc mold but fish won't care. The "K' grubs have a much thicker body and not as aggressively ribbed as either of the two you ask about.

Thanks Tom.  That is what I wondered.  I have most of the K grubs and the essential grub and really enjoy them all.  I'll look at the bigger and smaller OG sizes.

I sure like my essential series grub in sapphire blue as a jig trailer & so do the smallmouth on moonlight nights. I back of the amount of colorant & can match a zoom to a tee.
