Spinnerbait modification
« on: 02/26/24 21:25 UTC »
Has anyone modified the Swimbait head jig mold model number sbh-5-a into a spinnerbait. I think it’s definitely possible just checking to see if anyone has done it and how it turns out?

I haven't done it, but have seen that others have. IMO, it would make a nice spinnerbait for use with plastic baits.

There's no collar on that jig for skirts.

I recall seeing one where they blocked off that belly section, so it was more like a shad/minnow head.

That’s what I was planning on doing was blocking off the belly and taking some material out so I could have a small collar for a skirt, I have tried to find pictures of somebody doing it but haven’t had any luck.

There are several groups on Facebook for lead pouring & lure making, and I'm sure I saw it in at least one of them. If you're not a member of any of those groups, you should be.

That would be the place to ask about doing that modification.
