Walleye Spinner Molds
« on: 03/12/24 16:28 UTC »
I apologize in advance if it sounds like I’m bragging. I’m just thrilled that I finally got my grubby little paws on the bigger size walleye spinner mold. Figured you all might understand my excitement. I’ve been 3 or so years looking and waiting for one to come along. Passed up a few along the way and kicked myself for it. Still on the hunt for the crown jewel of Do It molds along with a couple others.

Congratulations!

I have one of those, but would have to go look at the weights to say which one. There's no Walleye here, so rarely gets used, but I hold on to the older molds!  ;D

I've been looking for the Weedless Wally mold for several years, and now when they do show up, folks pay more for them than a custom mold! I'm not doin that!  :o

Same here. Holding out hope for a reasonable price for some of those older gems. I love the history behind lures/tackle craft and how fishing in general has progressed. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I would love to see a book showcasing the history of Do-It with pictures of early molds and their business. Should I put this under “request a mold” section?

That would be a very cool book! I want a copy if it ever happens!  ;D

I also like to read about the history of the fishing sports, just to read about it!

Years ago, I picked up a book about tackle companies in Ohio. That state has a long & varied history, and some important companies originated there.

Unfortunately, I can't remember most of what I've read.  :(

Those have been showing up more and more on the bay site.  I let mine go years ago with a couple others and have managed to get them all back!!  Won't do that again!!
