A Great Morning
« on: 10/14/24 15:07 UTC »
Ma and I headed to Waterloo this morning, or should I say to Cedar Falls, to go to a Carlos Okelly's for lunch. We've been craving the food they have since they closed shop here in Rochester, so today was let's take a drive day. Along the way we stopped by Do-It's Headquarters in Denver Iowa, right on our way, and spent some time with Ryan and Jason and Brennan. Great folks and a riot to visit with. Always a good day when I can see these guys, there are none finer.

The food was out of this world and portions such that we have a take home box left for dinner. Man, I miss that restaurant here in town.

Actually, Ma and I just got a new set of wheels, and we wanted to put some highway miles on it, so the trip served more than one purpose. 6 hours or away time, 200 miles, great eats and great company so indeed it was a great morning.

Sounds like an awesome trip. I'll be headed to the mountains in Tennessee tomorrow for some R & R and seeing the leaves change.

What a fantastic road trip. Were you able to load your pockets or were they keeping a good eye on you?
