UV Blast powder
« on: 10/18/24 21:25 UTC »
I sent the do it team an email but does anyone know if they still sell the UV powder that’s light yellow and just a tad or pinch is all you needed in a cup of plastic? It’s not the uv clear powder paint that’s in the store now. Different product I’m pretty sure.

AP.... it's listed in the aper catalog, page 159, lower right corner. Item number 91253. I tried doing a search using the name in the catalog and again using the item number but came up short on both counts, so maybe this has been discontinued. Maybe call the 800 number and ask for Brennan. He'll know if they have it or not.

If Do-It is out of it, you can try this product from Spike-It. Its hyper strong liquid so just a drop or two in 4 ounces of plastic will do the same thing the Do-It powder product does. I have some of the powdered product and can send you some in a zip lock if you want, maybe half a jar. That'll sail in a bubble envelope no problem.

I have some left Tom but I recommended it to someone on TU and he would like to have some. I feel like it’s more versatile because you can put it in powder paint, plastisol, and mix it in a topcoat and I do this quite a bit. I’ll give Brennan a shout early next week and see if they still have it. Thanks for looking for me.

One of the guys or gals at do it emailed me this morning and the UV Blast powder is still available. Here’s the link to the product.

I didn't think they'd discontinue it, its got way to much usefulness. I make a lot of 4 ounce batches for small baits, and like all of my plastic batches, the uv powder is the first coimponent in the raw plastic. Always. Every batch, regardless of size.
