I still have a ton of glitter left over from when I sold it and just happened to notice how holographic glitter reflects many colors in low light and intensifies available light that contrasts with a darker background. You can't see the detail of the flakes due to camera shake, but each flake casts its own colored flash. Shown is gold hologram glitter. I haven't tried silver hologram but I'd bet it will be just as noticeable to fish if not more so.
Remember: when it comes to blades, the larger flash is on the side facing the light source. The side facing away reflects no flash, whereas holographic glitter still does and more so in low light (i.e cloudy days and at dusk). Also, a dot of glitter on a jighead, enhances the lead more than paint allowing the lure as a whole to be even more noticeable to fish.

I will try using regular glitter colors to see the effect. Note: to attach gillter, I use a dab of nail polish and sprinkle glitter on it, blowing the rest back into the bag. A buddy who makes and sells blade baits had excited customers ordering his lures when they saw his glitter shapes on blades.
