I use an electric hot plate to preheat and keep molds hot, but I only have molds for pouring lead.

I use one that I picked up at the second hand store for $5. I preheat all my injection molds on it.

I'm going to start heating everything injection wise to see if that may be the issue i was having with the wutsit fork tail mold even though Brennen thinks it's a venting issue. I figure in cool weather it's just another step to eliminate any chance of a problem even though i heated everything with a torch. He's sending me another mold to try though.

Sounds like great customer service. I have a griddle but don’t use it often. Like you, I use a torch to preheat my injector and nozzle. My favorite is a fondue pot that I picked up cheap at a 2nd hand store. Its sides are just the right height to put a Pyrex cup in and allows the handle to hang outside. With it, I’m not worried about the Pyrex breaking from the heat. If that ever happens the hot plastic will be contained in the hot pot. It allows me to shoot multiple injections and demolds without micro waving the plastic over and over.

I have one also but don't use it that often. I use it when I am having issues and can't figure it out.

I have a hot plate to warm molds up. It sure fixes a lot of problems.

I use my griddle a lot.  It is one of the handiest items I have.  I can set it on warm and by the time my plastisol is heated up and ready to go everything is nice and warm.  I even use it to warm up my silicone molds.  I lay a aluminum mold on its side set the silicone mold on top of it to keep it warm and pour away.  Very handy item.
I find it incredible that I have to explain to a grown American citizen that taking a knee during the National Anthem is disrespectful.

I use a small one too. Mostly for when I shoot molds with small appendages, and laminates. It always helped heating up the laminating/blending Block and dual injectors. My QMI Blending Block is way better than any I have seen. I believe it is superior to any.

I may look into the Fondue Pot thing. I like the sound of less microwaving between shots.

Not a griddle, but a $2.00 electric skillet. I cut slots for my injectors to lay flat. Has room for 3 molds as well. When I lived up north in Iowa, it was totally necessary
to keep the molds and injectors heated in my unheated work area.

Bill,  I’m thinking I may pick one of them up too.

Can you share a pic of your Fondue Pot and what size pyrex cups you use. Also how many shots can you make before reheating?
