I spun up some 3/8 and 1/2 ounce buzz baits using the Ultra Minnow mold from Do-It and Gammi 5/0 Spinner Bait hooks. A little spray of Bait blast, some eyes, Delta blades for some and Quad Wing blades for the others and wallah! we have some stuff that's absolute magic on early bass.
Then using Do-It's Arky mold, those 5/0 Gammis again along with the 2621 Underspin wires we cooked up some chatter boxes in 3/8 and 1/2 ounce. The blades came from Barlows. Simple way to get the job done and again, nothing but bass magic.
Both of these baits are wearing silicone from Do-It, both the Fine Cut and the Natural Image styles.
I had a chance to feed a couple of the buzz baits to some mega pike that decided Weds of last week was the day to come out and play. My thinking was that there was no way a pike could get all of one of those buzz numbers in its mouth, but two proved me wrong so I now need to cook up some more playthings.
