I left you a message so we could talk through it, but I'll run through it here in case we don't talk today and you want to make some over the weekend.

1) Make sure your plastic is thoroughly heated to at least 350 degrees (try not to exceed 360-370).

2) Double clamp your mold in the front and back

3) First injection: inject the belly of the bait (I prefer the plastic temp to be 340 - 360 degrees)

4) Open mold and remove the spru and runner

5) Make sure bodies and tails are still seated well by gently patting them down.  Also make sure there aren't tags totally blocking the vents (from your pic I don't this is as issue but you can check).

6) Close and double clamp the mold

7) Get your second plastic ready like in step one

8) Inject the back and tail *** your plastic needs to be hot*** as there is less space for it to move through.  I would inject this between 350 and 360 (as the mold warms up you can lower this some).  Start the injection slow to get the flow over the head and finish it at a normal speed to get it to fill out the tail (make sure you are clamped well).

This is all about viscosity and velocity.  The lower your plastic temp is, the thicker the plastic is.  On your second injection if you are slow shooting cool / thick plastic into a room temperature mold, it is going to setup before it ever gets to the end of the tail.  That's why it's especially important to keep the second color hot / thin, inject slow over the head, then normal to fill it out.  It's 90 plus degrees here now, but that is cold when compared to 350 degrees.  As everything warms up from injecting it the process will go smoother.

Call me and we can also talk through it.

Thanks,

Jason

Thank You Jason!

Work a 14 days on and 14 days off schedule. Work on a offshore drilling rig. Currently at work  :(
May not be shooting the first color hot enough. Not really having a problem with the second color.
Brought a couple hundred of the baits to work with me thought that would be plenty but I was wrong
now have a waiting list of people asking for the Who Dat color bait. I did lighten up on the colors a
little bit. This keeps up going to have to order the Pro mold. :D
