Warm enough for everyone?
« on: 06/30/12 14:08 UTC »
Today, here in North Alabama,  we will get to a blistering 107 degrees.  This will be 5 days in a row over 100.  Tomorrow will be over 100 as well. Air conditioner hasn't cut off in a week.  No rain for over two weeks.  Grass is dead and crunches underfoot.   Miserable; truly miserable.  Doctors are warning heart & lung patients to stay indoors between 9:00AM to 9:00 PM.
Someone loan us a little cool, wet weather; Please.

I would if I could...high 90s here...and I live in Minnesota!!

I'm looking forward to some nice single digit temps....At least I can fish in that!

It IS warm here, Mr. Paul!!!

I hit Okhissa yesterday afternoon/evening, started fishin' about 5 p.m.  The usual Ammo's turned up 3 small Bass and 1 decent Gar, then I moved to the main Lake where I was met by AIR-clear water at the 1st spot, a few small bites.  Moved to a different area where I'd seen ALOT of grass had grown up (was grass-less a few months ago).  2 NICE blow-ups on a Frog, 2 misses (not sure why, I stripped drag on the "hook-set" on the 2nd strike) then I was out of daylight.

We're seriously due for rain here.  Lake Okhissa itself is about 1.5' low...got ONE more Garden Watering in our Rain Water Collection.

Dependency shows itself, yet again...ay?

Been over a 100 here for over a week in southern missouri......everything has been early this year.  I had all my hay baled a week before I normally even start.  Deer are already in velvet here....a good month or more early.

At this rate I expect snow in july!!!!!!   :o ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  That would be nice!
God Bless!

Hot in Mississippi too.  100+ is hot enough to skin that head.  Just had the wife...who can now add barber to her creditials....cut my hair.  #1 on top and skin tight on the sides.   100+ = skinned head..lol  Just made some 3.5" grubs last week and we caught 9 bass and a nice crappie.

Well, we got 1/2" of rain last evening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Boiled up a little cloud and dumped it on us.  it was 98 degrees right before the rain and while raining it was 87 degrees.  Sure felt nice afterwards but will be hot and muggy today!  Thankful for the rain....praying God will bring us more today!
God Bless!

Yesterday was our day to work the antique shop 60 miles north-east of home where we rent a large area and it was 102 when I took some packing boxes back out to the van at mid-afternoon. Like Andrew said, "And this is in Minnesota".

We has a couple do some shopping that was vacationing from California. As they were checking out the lady made mention of it being so hot. She said, "I always thought Minnesota was a so-called ice box". I told her to wait until the humidity hit 99%.

Dewpoints locally were in the mid-70's at ten last night. This is getting ridiculous especially with the humidity high and not being able to make some rain. Ma and I are hauling 30 to 50 gallons of water at a crack to a garden site away from the house every day right now.

102 to 104 here but backing down to high 90's now. We had 10+ inches of rain over last weekend and severe storms again the other night. Heat indexes running about 120...... When you walk outside, you immediately sweat... Humidity has been 90+% for 2 months now!!!

AC can't keep up no matter what..... Shop is HOT!!!!!

I love it!!!!!!!

I REALLY Hope Everyone is getting plenty much-needed rain!  It's been raining every day for probably 10 days now.  Praise GOD.  465 gallons in the now-full collection system, and the Garden is "well watered".  Holy Lord, Thank YOU!
