I am going to try and accomplish 2 things. The first is this:

Pour the 1/4 and 5/16 eggs, find out which one fits best when cooled into the cluster mold.
Insert 2 eggs opposite each other from both colors.
Inject 3rd color and hope they bond together.
Colors will be Pink, Orange and Chartreuse, all non-bleed.

If that wasn't hard enough:

I want to pour the eggs in the first mold, again finding which one fits best.
Make 3 different colors of them, again, orange, pink and chartreuse.
Put each color at the end of the tentacle and inject another color, maybe a red or other color and bond them all together.
The eggs for the skirt are .187 so I figured pouring the 2 smallest sizes should get me close to an egg that fits right into that mold. most likely the 3/16 as they are the same size but I read a lot about shrinkage so who knows.
Should I go with an egg that doesn't fit tightly so a little bit of the injected final color can go around part of the already poured eggs?

There is a reason for my madness, I got a chenille a few years back that combines these colors and has been killer for salmon and steelhead. I figure if this combination works so well in chenille, a combination of the colors on a plastic bait may be just as effective.

So:
Does anyone think this is going to work? I will be pouring all the eggs and doing the final injection in one sitting so they can't cure per say.
If needed, I will try to keep them warm but I don't have a warming plate. Would it be effective to heat them for 30 seconds to 1 minute to warm them and then inject the final color? Can the eggs be kept in an oven set at 200-250 to increase the bonding strength or maybe warmer, is it even needed?
Do some colors tend not to like to bond with each other?

And not so technical, what colors would anyone suggest for the tentacles on the skirt so that it doesn't affect the effectiveness of the egg colors? Maybe just clear?

Yes it  will work. I do alot of work with worms bonded to eggs. I do keep the eggs warm on a griddle to help out the bond. I keep it set at 225 and it works well. I did have the molds modified so the eggs fit tight. Do not know if you will have this issue. You might  have the plastic creep around the eggs. But you never know it maybe fine.  Frank
