Eyes

Has anyone noticed a difference with eyes on fluke type and carrot baits?  They catch me, but do they catch more fish?  Haven't used them, yet, so was wondering if someone had input on improved hook ups with the eyes.  Thank you for any responses.

I have fished both and seen no difference. There is however, scientific evidence, that shows that eyes, particularly oversized eyes, do make a difference in the strike response of a fish.

I think it comes down to presentation and being around the fish myself more so than eyes, or maybe even color, of the bait.

Just my opinion though... :D

Eyes; seem to make 1 major difference they...set the bait apart, whether on the store shelf, counter, bait box, etc.  Everyone that sees baits with eyes picks them up first, or ask in my boat about those first; every time.

I have notices in my many years of Fly Fishing that a fly with eyes will out fish the ones with out eyes when fishing for predatory species ie.
Saltwater/ Bass/ Tigerfish/ Peacock Bass

I would say that about 95% of my flies that I sell has eyes on them

For sales, I think eyes are a must or your baits are just run of the mill.
