I know, get all colors and sizes right?

That's the best way to do it!!

I use 6mm on alot of things (5"wutz-it, 6" skinny carrot 4.5 Swim Toad) 5mm on a few (3.5 Swim Shad/Crank baits/Spinnerbaits) and 4mm on my carrots that are 4" & under

Hope that helps,
Drew

EDIT:
Eye colors I use would be:
Green, Red, Blue, Gold, Black and Silver

I'm about to try out 8mm "Special eyes" on the 4.5" swim shad. I have a feeling they will be big!

6 mm seems to be the most popular all round size. I use them on a lot of stuff, but as suggested it doesn't hurt to have a variety of sizes. I have one swim bait that takes much bigger eyes.

I use the 3MM on the lizards and pan fish baits.  6MM on most everything else except the bigger SB's.

I just got a bunch of 5mm eyes at a really good price.  I didn't know if I could use them, but put them on the 4" Wutz-It and they look great.  I agree with Drew...get all sizes and all colors.  Build up the inventory.
Until next time.

Since I shoot mainly smaller baits, I use 3mm and 4mm eyes. I have each size in green, gold and red. The green and gold make nice contrasting colors for eyes but the red makes a bait look absolutely evil-mad.

I also like to put the largest eye on a bait that I can even if the eye looks out of proportion to the size of the bait. I do this on painted jigs that I put eyes on as well.

I've got a bunch of eyes I used when I was tying a lot of flies.  Some of the bass bug eyes have an "attitude" look about them.  I think my favorite is a 1/4" 3-D eye put out by Mirage.  It's got a milky like look that throws off different shades of color depending on the way you look at it.  It also talks to you.  Something like, "Hey...you...yeah you!  What chu lookin' at sucka?  If you know what's good for you, you're gonna turn around and walk away, or....."  It's funny how eyes can talk to you.  It's like all gear...you can't have too much.
Until next time.

Personally I love the eyes, but most all of the orders I get ask for plain-jane plastics....no eyes. They are an expensive add-on though and I make some baits that work better without them.

And you say a guy cannot have enough, eh, Denny? You need to talk to Carole. She seems to think I have a great plenty, while I beg to differ and tend to be more on track with your way of thinking.
