Speaking of "pretty" baits
« on: 11/15/12 21:42 UTC »
Heres a couple pics of tinsel glitter from Michaels. Both used clear plastic so the glitter obviously bled.

First I call Lemon Zest. 4 oz clear and 2 tsp "sunflower" tinsel. In the container this glitter is yellow with a green holo effect.

No name for this one. 4 oz clear and 2 tsp "fairy dust" tinsel. In the container this was purple with a green holo effect.

Well I like the one I can see. That second one is pretty awesome! for some reason, I am unable to view the first picture. Maybe I am just the only one?

Now a bait with the lemon zest tail on the no-name purple body would be a killer for waldo up in this neck of the woods.

Except for the initial bleeding they hold up very ell in the micro.

I also have red, blue, green, silver, and bronze. Those hold their color better and surprizingly dont curl. I only shot these in darker colored plastic so cant tell if there is any bleeding.

So any glitter can be used for soft plastic?  If not what brand is that because that lemon zest looks killer for a saltwater bait down here.

That is from Michaels store and brand name is Recollections.

Color is Sunflower.

Second color is called Fairy Dust.

Also if you go to Michaels, go to their webpage first and print out some coupons fitst. Bring a friend and use more than one coupon.

Very Pretty Swim Baits!! ;D  I love the color/name, 'Fairy Dust"..  You know my husband doesn't have any interest in making the baits, although he keeps me busy with suggestions.  He claims that I can see colors better than him.  He can't tell the diffference in watermelon and green pumpkin.  That is an example of his trouble with colors.
As a matter of fact, I DO fish like a GIRL.

Buffy,
I am working with a gentleman that only sees in hues of blues and greens....and those are limited.  He actually worked the paint department at one time.  I asked him how he knew the colors....he said he looked at the manifests.

What I am trying to say is put numbers on you colors and match number on your recipe.....

NOW if your hubby only wants to fish with your bait, not much I can do about that...lol

Happy Thanksgiving
