We need to be able to create multiple applications within the same mold cavity without having to break out the Dremel and cut into it. Many bait creators get their hands on a fresh mold and start cutting into it before it has even been shot to achieve certain aspects of a "custom" lure.
It would be more than easy to create certain molds such as the Ultra Minnow and Poison Tail that are capable of producing the same head with different aspects. Such as having an Ultra Minnow mold that has the capabilities of pouring a Jig, Spinnerbait and a Chatterbait body within the same cavity. It is a fairly easy concept, by adding a straight runner for either a straight piece of wire attached to a spinnerbait hook for a chatterbait or an R/Twist bend wire for creating a spinnerbait while leaving the area for the eye of the jig hook this would allow you to create three wonderful creations within the same cavity by altering what you place in the mold before you pour. The people I have spoken with are worried about the cavity flooding out and mass flashing but if the spru is coming into the cavity at the throat of the head the only flashing/flooding you would run into would be having to trim a small section where the hook eye would be if you were making a spinner/chatterbait or a small straight section to snip when making a jig.
I would really like to see everyone's input here, ideas such as this one is what we need to come together as not only bait makers but anglers alike to change the game for the future. Our feedback is what makes Caney Creek amazing, having a creator that will listen to your ideas input changes and create works of art with ideas from the users is one of the reasons why we all frequent this forum. So post your ideas in this section, be heard and allow feedback from your peers on your ideas.
Thanks all,
Drew
