Has there been any resolution to this yet? I have two of these molds and they aren't doing me any good just sitting on the shelf. John

Well I have spent some time trying to solve the bubble problem and seem to have it solved for the most part. Still getting a real small bubble by the eyes. What I did does make it real difficult to shoot with the Twinjector  but it works for me. Would like some others to try it and see what results they get. Here is what I did. I tilted the molds at about a 45deg angle. The high point of the bait is the upper fin and let's the air out. I shot about 100 baits while trying this out at many angles. I just made a wood shelf that was tilted. Please others try this and let me know if it works for you. Not that this fixes the mold but it works for me. Used real cool plastic too. If the plastic is to hot it runs out of the sprue causing a void in the nose. Frank.

I just got my gill mold.  I only had time to shoot one bait, but so far so good, no dents or bubbles.

Does work for me Frank but a little sketchy injecting on the tilt. I just tipped mine back onto the clamps and shot it.

Glad to hear the new molds coming out seem to be good. Like to hear if gstott shot more than a single bait sucessfully.

Do not want people to think it is safe so be carefull and think before you try it. At least I can use them and not just set there. Maybe some of this info will help.

My molds will work fine if I just shoot them super slow. No tilt..

Still no time to shoot any more baits, but I'll let you know how they come out when I get a moment.

Just noticed a difference in the 2 gill molds that I have. When looking down at them just before shooting them it was obvious that the one I bought in November has a smaller sprue to runner opening. It's about 1/8 th of an inch. The mold I bought in December has an opening of about 1/4 of an inch. The mold with the smaller opening is giving me fits with the air voids near the eyes. The mold with the larger opening shoots nicely if done slowly.

I can't speak about anything you purchased in November certainly, but what part of December did you purchase?

Just shot another gill and everything looks great.  I just got this mold less than a week ago, so it looks to me like the new ones are working.  At least for me.

I've now made half a dozen and no problems yet.  I can't wait to throw this bait this spring.  Bluegill are a predominant forage around here so I think these are going to be killer.

This would be a good mold to run without the eyes. I know the eyes give it "bling" however if anyone has tried to rig the bait you know you basically have to go through an eye socket if t-rigging. An eye makes it hard to rig correctly.

These baits will be used for flipping 95% of the time and eyes will not be needed for sure! The extra "meat" in the eye area will help keep the hook in place....
