Guess somebody heard me.  Got some sleet, then bout three inches of snow on top of it.  Bout a half inch of ice on the roads.  Wet stuff too,  guessing we got .30 or .40 worth of moisture.  My wheat is smiling.  They are starting school two hours late to see if the roads will thaw for all the farm kids that gotta drive.  Joey

We got some rain here during the night, but now we have wind and real light snow. Right now our temperature is colder than yesterday's low and the 22 degrees we have is likely our high for today. We're forecast to be in the deep freeze tonight and the next couple days, maybe the coldest of this year's weather. This is headed your way, but may be higher up in the lakes and Canada before it hits you.

Rub it in Denny...Rub it in. It's 62 here in SE Ohio with rain. The 50 mph winds we had this morning have passed. Temps falling into the low 20s overnight, rain turning to freezing rain, then to snow. 4"-8" by tommorrow afternoon. Crazy. Don't like the weather in Ohio? Just wait a couple hours. It'll change.---Tim.

It started snowing Sunday about 10am, and I think it's finally winding down now.  The last two days have had high winds with the snow so there were white out conditions and heavy drifting.  One drift in my yard is up above my belly button, and I'm 6'2".  The annoying part is that the storms are coming in at a weird angle and the valleys are getting hammered and the mountains a brush by.  We end up with a mess for commuting and still below average snow pack  >:(

Oh well, it beats the month straight of lows in the negative teens and highs in the low single digits with dense ice fog every day.  I was about ready to slit my wrists.

Good advice.  I just ordered a bunch of molds that should be here soon.  I can't wait.

We've got north winds here right now that have our flag straight out and snapping like firecrackers. Its been like that since about 9am. The temps are dropping now too, so I guess our portion of the most current bout of crap weather has advanced to the cold part. I feel blessed....I had maybe an inch of snow to broom off the sidewalk earlier and it was dry so it flew right off. The streets are slick in places what with the ice and re-freeze we had. Ma and I went to the mall for our morning walk and one corner with a stop sign turned into a slide thru and continue on my way type of thing. Nobody coming so it all worked out.

Time to read the paper. Then fix my dinner....venison chops, raw fries, and a nice salad.

That's quite the temperature drop!  I can't remember the last time it was 60.  It's funny how it goes the other way though.  It got to 40 on the weekend before the storms came, and I was out in a t-shirt because compared to -18 it felt downright tropical.  Sorry to hear you have the flu, that's the worst.

Ctom, your dinner sounds tasty.  I've got some elk and venison out in the freezer I need to cook up soon.  Thanks for reminding me I had it out there.  Yum.
