I was looking at that foot ball head I already see where I'm going to change that mold . 1. I'm going to pin it for eyes and 2. I'm going to put a quick change where the hook attaches .

No sweat Kasil. If the pre-bent wires don't quite cut it for length, just order a 1/4 pound coil of either .024 or .026 stainless wire and cut it into 1" lengths. Put a small 90 degree bend on each for the head end and cast the wires in the heads straight. After casting just use a needle-nose pliers to bend the reverse angle as long as you need it and snip the excess off so that the barb is about 1/8th inch long.

I will do some more thinking and research into what I am thinking of doing.
I would like to find an available wire form prebent or make a jig to do it myself.
I would like to keep them consistent. That and the mold maker will need an example of exactly what I want done and it will be easier to have a pre made insert.
If i was just making a couple of dozen for my own use making the wires would work. I expect I will find a good interest in local anglers and guides buying these jigs and so I would like to make it as easy as possible.

I wasn't happy with Zeiners the one and only time I used them. Better packaging would have certainly been nice as the powder paint I ordered was thrown in a box with a new mold. No extra packing materials resulted in the mold breaking the powder paint jar and I had powder all over the box.
I have found a couple of other cheaper sources.
1) Bottom dweller tackle. I haven't ordered from them but I have heard they are good to deal with.

2) Shark River Mail Order. They were good to deal with though shipping took longer than expected. Got my brand new Do-It molds cheaper than zeiners by a couple of dollars.

If you are going to customize a mold - I would suggest sticking with the Do-It pre-bent wire keeper form - just have them create the cavity to be seated where the "in-the-lead-bend" is just inside of the lead - giving you the security that it wont pull out, as well as protrude far enough down the hook shank to hold your plastics in place.  For a little added security - you can always hit the keeper with a little super glue!
Take somebody fishing soon!

I know that using Do-It's pre-bent wires certainly has been a treat for me. Man I hate the hassle of custom cutting and bending.

Lurepartsonline has a do-it keeper that is 7/8 inch long, it is a little hard to find on their website. I believe it was on the same page as the new minnow head jig mold with the wire keeper. I did a search for wire forms and it didn't come up , but latter I found this mold and at the bottom it had a place to order wire forms. I actually wanted the wb400, I believe the one they sent me is a wb800. I bought 400 of them about 2 weeks ago.
They didn't have the new mold listed with their other molds either, You just have to spend a little time going through the jig molds to find it. If anyone has trouble finding it let me know, and I will look up the part number.
