Thanks for the tip of adding hardener but I don't have hardener on hand I have never had to use it in the last 3 years. Maybe I will have to order some

If it actually froze, chemical properties could have changed for sure.

Store at room temp.

I didn't freeze it. It was stuck on a train in Montana in the cold for a couple days.

Living in Minnesota I was concerned about shipping plastic to me during the winter where we can get down to nearly -30F and  delivered to my outdoor mailbox early in the day.

Jason assured me that there were no concerns. I've had plastic in the mailbox for 5 hours at -15F with no ill effects.

Jason had a post on freezing temps and plastic and it has to get like -60 dgrees before anything happens to the plastic and I doubt if it got that cold while on a train in the lower 48.

I'm pretty sure freezing isn't the issue.  As Jason B. stated here at the forum in "Plastic 101" under getting started:

"Will my plastic freeze?  CC plastic is good to -50 degrees.  If you are somewhere it gets colder than that you need to move. - sorry"

The fact is every drum of plastic that comes in first has a sample taken and it is melted, shot, and listed with the lot number and kept on record.  That way we know what we have and that it works properly, and if anything like this does come up we can narrow it down to a particular lot and act accordingly.  We certainly want to hear from anyone that has an issue like this and would urge you to call regarding the lot number of the plastic in question.  We have not heard of any other problems with the hundreds of gallons of plastics that have left our door since Jan. 1, but there is always a chance that something isn't exactly right.  If anyone else has an issue with their plastic I would strongly urge you to give Do-It a call in order to address the situation.  319-984-6055

Thank you,

Jerry
