Late winter or early spring? Susquehanna Smallmouth recent trips

Last Tuesday we smashed them. I ended the day with 24, anchored by a 19.5 incher. Most fish hit a 5 inch Wutz It rigged on a 1/4 oz Draggin Head. Yesterday the water temps had plummeted from 46 on Tuesday to 38. I got an 18.25 incher on a Lucky Craft Pointer 128, left alone on the inside edge of a current turn in one of the few big eddies (the river had come up a lot), and one on a Caney Creek Craw, left alone in the center of the same eddy. Here's the second one from yesterday, a 19 incher:

Beautiful markings on that one. What a great looking fish. A buddy and I went on a long float up the Shenandoah S. fork over the weekend. We didn't do well, but at least someone is catching them.

I usually hit the river anywhere between Columbia all the way up toward Selinsgrove. Most of the trips are near Harrisburg though. Heading out again on Saturday. Doesn't look like its going to warm up much between now and then. Here's the video from last Saturdays trip.

Jeff,
If the weather I have here hits you this weekend... there ain't a chance it's gonna warm up for you anytime soon.
Nice video, not having a lot of open water around here yet it's nice to "get out" with you via the interwebs.
Thank you,
Jerry

The river looks nice up that way. I go to a small town in clarion county every year for a week of fishing and visit family. People would not believe the clarity of the lakes. We also fish the clarion and allegheny river there are nice smallies in the rivers.
