Has anyone fished this bait the same way as a senko? Do you think it could be a senko replacement?

No, its not bulky enough. Its similar in size to Z's centipede. I usually c-rig it with good success.

C rig, split shot rig, or weightless wacky.  Good finesse bait for smallies, but have caught some good largemouth also when the water gets warm.  Doesn't have that senko "wiggle" on the drop, but still a versatile bait.  Joey

The Freedom Fry is one of my top wacky baits. I like fishing it with the flat side moving in the direction of travel for maximum flex to the worm. I also use it a lot on my Carolina Rigs.

My son likes to fish them on a ball head jig (crappie jig) or small swim jig hook (no skirt).
