purple modification

I have had purple X2 for some time and really love the color. Recently I got the X2 Florida grape....a Caney custom color I think. I've shot the Florida Grape now a couple times in a handful of baits and when blue glitter and a wee bit of blue hi lite is added to it it makes an unreal electric blue. This morning I was shooting a few bait that was to have a chartreuse tail and a purple was to be the body color. I wondered to myself what the purple and Florida grape would come out as if mixed equally in 4 ounces, so I did up a batch and shot a small fry mold full to see what things looked like. Again, the colors come out unreal in vibrance.

The four ounces of soft plastic go two drops each of purple and Florida grape. A smalll shot of .015 lt purple glitter went in at the end of cooking along with a dash of purple hi lite. The resuklt is very nice. Its not as red as straight purple but not quite as deep in color as the straight grape. The purple hi lite just makes the inside of the bait go wow and the glitter helps the hi lite along with some added internal light reflection.

Here's the color . I have a single purple small fry above the string. The difference is unreal when these colors are blended. Look at the tail section of those in the string and you can see the hi lite jump right out at you. Its darned near to being a mirror.
