Pre mixing plastisol and colorant?
« on: 07/10/13 00:08 UTC »
Would it be possible to make up gallon containers of plastisol and colorant pre-mixed together for easy use in the future?  Any downsides to doing this?  I am using Caney Creek plastic and colorants.  It would save some time in the future if I could just grab a color I need and pour it into my pot.  Thanks for the help.

Settling and hard packing come to mind right off. You'd need to have an agitation system or a daily stirring system in place to prevent issues.

Does the plasticol in the box make it so it will not hard pack or settle as much?  It seems the Caney Creek plastisol does not have either of these issues out of the box.  Why would adding it to a gallon container change that?  Does the air affect the plastisol?  Thanks again for the help.
